Laos has so far been one of the most beautiful countries I’ve visited on my travels. Throughout our three weeks spent there, I was constantly having to reach for my camera to take a quick snap of my surroundings. So, to celebrate the beauty of the lovely country that is Laos in all its glory, I thought I’d put together a photo post of the 25 most stunning views I came across. Enjoy!
Pakbeng
These two photos were taken as we stopped off at the tiny village of Pakbeng during our two-day slow boat voyage to Luang Prabang. It was the first place we visited in Laos. Not a bad first impression at all!

Luang Prabang
These shots were taken in Luang Prabang and its surroundings. I’ll never get used to randomly seeing huge magnificent elephants roam past me.

An unexpected yet beautiful view of mountains and clouds as we stopped off on our way from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng. I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera from the bus to take a picture!

Vang Vieng
Despite its raucous reputation, Vang Vieng was a real treat to the eyes. Every morning and early evening colourful hot air balloons could be seen amongst the mountains. I so wish I had gone!

Thakhek motorbike loop
We stopped off plenty of times during the Thakhek motorbike loop, simply because there were so many beautiful views to photograph. It felt really nice to see parts of Laos that were off the typical tourist trail.

Don Det, Four Thousand Islands
I could have spent all day wandering around Don Det in Four Thousand islands, snapping away at all the lovely sights from all angles. The water, the islands, the sky. It was all so beautiful!
